Carlos Vasquez
Baseball Development Coordinator

Carlos Vasquez is originally from Brooklyn, New York.  He played High School baseball at New Utrecht High School and then moved on to play at St. Francis College (NCAA Div I) 1984-1988.  In 1984 prior to the start of his college career Carlos was invited to the Los Angeles Dodgers training camp. He was the Captain of both his High School and College team and has experience playing serveral defensive positiions  while specializing in Left field. During his tenure at St. Francis College he won the team batting title in 1985 with a .385 batting average.

He grew up playing baseball with the Bonnie Youth Club which is an organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged inner city young men become quality adults while teaching them to be students of baseball and at the same time having competitive fun through playing the game.  Carlos desires to have a similar impact on the lives of youth through baseball  as he was with the Bonnie Youth Club.  Like all CTG Staff he feels that the biggest impact he can have on the lives of young people is by sharing Biblical principals through sports and encouraging players to become followers of Jesus Christ.

Currently, Carlos is a CPA working in finance in Topeka Kansas for Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc.  He resides in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife Maria-Fernanda and two kids Carlos Jr. and Gabriela.
