Jesse Brinson
Executive Director

Like many kids in inner city-Houston, Jesse Brinson was chasing a dream to play professional sports. Jesse played 3 years of varsity football and baseball in high school and really enjoyed the game. In his senior of high school he decided to walk-on at the University of Kansas to play football in 1999.
During that first year, the atmosphere away from city life wasn't the only thing that changed for Jesse. Through a campus ministry, Jesse prayed to give his life to God and made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of his life. God was calling Jesse to do something with his life that was greater than himself, and he felt it dealt with youth. In 2001 Jesse chose to no longer play football but stayed in school graduated from KU in December 2004.
In January of 2005, Jesse entered into full time ministry with Midwest Student Ministries reaching out to the youth of Lawrence, Kansas. With the love and support of his wife, Torrie, sons Zebadiah, Shawn, Aundre and daughter Ayanna, Jesse spends his time reaching youth with the gospel of Jesus, mentoring teenagers, coaching football and basketball. His efforts have helped pioneer the vision of Called To Greatness.
